Tyreese had little recollection of his early years. He was raised in a foster care system in Detroit with his brother, the only family member he had left. Tyreese managed to grow up hardened and wise and took any sort of jobs he was offered. With enough money from years of hard work, he started a corner shop in his hometown and was able to afford a decent living. After several years, Tyreese met his significant other and eventually got married, but things would take a turn when his wife died in a car accident. He fell into severe depression and sold the corner shop that he worked hard for and started seeking out mental help groups in hopes of finding ways to get over the past. One day, Tyreese came across a flight promotional which read that Norway was ranked one for the quality of life. Thinking that he would finally find a solution to the past, Tyreese spent the rest of his remaining funds without a second thought to book a flight and fully settle in the new land. After the pandemic Tyrese was unable to find himself able to return back to The United States to reunite with his family. Instead, he hunkered down and faced the hardships of the Pandemic and Norway. Tyrese was able to reunite with his sibling, Tyrone Boone, and fought together through many battles of survival and trial. Using Tyrese's street sense, he was always able to detect whether or not a survivor was on his side. One of Tyrese's biggest trials was re-establishing his connection with Tyrone. After being separated from his brother, he was unable to maintain the relationship for 3 years. Luckily, after nothing short of a miracle Tyrese found Tyrone in an abandoned survivor camp on the verge of death.
