Background

Dale grew up in a military family; his father was a Drill sergeant training the next generation of Airforce recruits. Dale grew up very regimented and strict, knowing the consequences to every misstep and mistake. His Mother was almost the exact opposite, very caring and loving, fully involved in Dale's life; her words of encouragement kept him moving forward. She was diagnosed with cancer while Dale was in Junior year of highschool. This saddened the remaining family Dale and his father into a more strained relationship making father even harder on Dale. Dale slowly developed a hatred for his father that seemed to brush the death off as just something that happened. In reality his father being a military man and knowing he had to be strong for Dale made it seem it didn't bother him so he could be there for him never explaining this to Dale only made his Hatred grow. As time went on father pressured him into the service at a young age. He joined the service at 18 joining the Army as a form of rebellion to his dad at least that's what he thought. His father quickly expressed the first act of pride in his son attending his graduation. His father gave him his Beret for graduating from green beret school. He did many tours around the middle east training the general populace and small villages to fight against different terrorist and extemeist cells. His main job was to teach them marksmanship and arms handling as the resident marksman he went under serious training to get to the status and skill he was His father grew sick, very sick while he was over there being a Vietnam veteran his father came in contact with very nasty chemicals like agent orange causing him to develop a horrible case of lung cancer that overtook him. During this time Dale was allowed a leave of absence on a family emergency and his dad would talk about everything with Dale expressing his deep hatred for the man because of the way he acted after his wife's death. His father would go on to explain why he had to act this way making Dale slowly grow a feeling of respect for the man he called his father fixing their relationship that Dale made rocky in his final moments his father lost his gruff edge and really opened up to Dale apologizing about being too hard on him. His Father dying left a void in Dale's heart and self blame for the rocky relationship over took him causing him to dive deeper into his work. After a long stint in the middle east and his fathers death he was sent to the coast of Russia specifically off the coast of an old soviet country Chernarus when the outbreak broke out ravaging the known world the boat sat unmoving while they tried to figure out a game plan. Their vessel slowly drifting more towards land it hits a cluster of old soviet naval mines set up so vessels can easily land, sinking the ship and killing most the crew washing Dale ashore.
