Background
Born in Ireland in Galway, Co. Mayo In 1990, his family being one of armed forces service and public service, he enrolled in the RDF (Reserve Defenses Forces) at 17, and after four years of service in the 1 Brigade in Collins Barrack, earning high accommodation for performance in command and control as well as weapons handling. He would later request to be transferred to the PDFI (PDFI) for overseas operations. There he served in Lebanon and Syria, and experienced multiple combat engagements with a medal of gallantry for saving a fellow comrade in battle after their APC was hit by an RPG while escorting supplies to a town and has received multiple superficial and one life threatening Injury while in combat participating in major engagements. And in the years between 2017 and 2019 he participated in training of Israeli and Syrian freedom fighters to combat terrorism and guerrilla warfare tactics as well as assisting in land mine clearance ordinance disposal. After a few more years of service in Lebanon and Oman before taking early retirement to return home to his then soon to be married wife Ave King and his four year old son Jamie. Shortly before the outbreak of the AVM-FLA-21NS virus, his son Jamie passed away in a vehicular related accident. Before being called for redeployment in an emergency declaration by the United Nations, his wife tested positive for another Pregnancy, and he swore to return in six months before deployment which was the time allocated for and the rest of the men being sent to Norway. He would not return and was presumed dead / scattered along with the rest of the UN 5th Brigade sent to contain the situation post the burning of Oslo.
Surviving with himself and a small number of other soldiers, about 12 men and women banded together to survive engaging Zs and other larger factions that remained in the region, as well as a handful of hostile civilians over the period of several weeks. Initially trying to make contact with other military operations in the region but after disagreements and lack of trust between demands and distrust eventually forced them to survive on their own, and with supplies only to sustain themselves their efforts to assist other civilian survivors in the region was greatly limited, moving from town to town staying away from large hordes searching for means of escape from the country to mainland Europe or even the United Kingdom before returning home himself. But with no functioning radio equipment or potentially anyone to listen to their broadcasts and as time passed both the elements and infection claimed the lives of their squad before eventually the last remaining survivors decided to leave and fight for themselves. Continuing alone he wanders the wasteland in search of methods of escape, presuming the last remaining members of his squad are deceased.
Presuming his wife to be deceased, and missing the birth of his newborn child he became depressed and lost the need to leave Norway and return home, assuming the rest of the world had become destabilized due to the Zombie threat. And that nobody was coming to rescue him or anyone else seeing supply drops gave hope that there were still people out there, but that any major assistance wasn't possible or at all a priority. Resolving to help assist survivors in the area himself whenever possible.
