Background

Born in the economically unprosperous region of Sheffield in the north of England, Tommy Smith was the 3rd son in a family of 4 children. Tommy's father was a fisherman whilst his mother would stay at home and take care of her children. Growing up Tommy would often spend his days outside with the local kids on the estate instead of going to school and in his teenage years he would often sit outside the local pub asking the pubgoers for leftover beer and cigarettes. In his early 20s he would be charged with GBH and assault after a pub brawl gone wrong. This angered Tommy's father immensely who immediately forced him on to his trawler ship and set him to work to put him on the straight and narrow. After the first 3 days of the voyage Tommy's anger and complaints soon turned to a love of the sea and he started to enjoy the life of the fisherman. Sadly though this happiness would be cut short when his father fell in the water and drowned only 2 days later. Tommy felt inspired to continue his father's work and was immediately sworn in by his father's old crew. These are the people Tommy would spend the better part of his life with and he formed an admirable bond with his crew. He was later deemed captain of the ship and made a fair fortune.
Then Brexit happened. Tommy and his crew were suddenly attacked by a French trawler ship trying to force them out of their waters, although they stood their ground and repelled the French attack it left them feeling uneasy about fishing in the English channel. Tommy made an executive decision as captain to move their fishing enterprise to the North sea, right outside Nyheim.
One day when they were stopping in Nyheim to resupply they were attacked by a band of bandits, Tommy was the only one that survived and he swore that he would one day avenge his fallen mateys.
He met a man by the name of Rickard Haraldsson who helped him with his wounds and from then on they set out to survive in Nyheim.
