Born in Murmansk, Russia, Svetlana Volinski is a bass player in the metal band Gore Candle. She had a rough childhood, and was kicked out of her home by her parents at 16 years old. She thrived under a lack of structure in her life, and she drifted from place to place. While drifting, she made a few friends, and many more enemies. She had a fair number of run-ins with the police, and had a criminal record including burglary and assault. She’s spent a few months in prison for her actions. After her last stint, she’s genuinely trying to turn her life around for the better, and she formed a metal band with some of her friends. In the middle of a tour across Northern Europe, the band’s van broke down outside of the city of Nyheim. While they were waiting for their van to be repaired, the outbreak started. As her friends slowly succumbed to infection, she struggled to find a reason to keep going. The only reason she keeps on is because she’s afraid to die. Now, she is nomadic, traveling around the region in search of supplies and food.
