Steven grew up in the town of Arlington, Texas. Throughout high school, he became very interested in electronics, dedicating a lot of his afterschool time learning about radios and how they worked. His father had served in the military and so when he graduated high school, he joined the United States Army. He went to One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Georgia and subsequently Ranger Assessment and Selection Program and Ranger School. His first assignment was to 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment within Savannah, Georgia. Due to his experience with radios, he quickly became the Radio Telephone Operator for the Platoon. After a year in this position, he was given the opportunity to serve with PLIKT and study international radios. He took this opportunity immediately and in early 2020 began operations with PLIKT. After the 21NS outbreak, he was sent up to Nyheim in order to be the RTO for Regional Commander.
