Riley was a girl born in New Haven, Connecticut. She worked hard growing up to follow her dreams, although her shy nature would often be a problem. Riley was never very good at making friends. However once she graduated from High School and began pursuing a career as a Flight Attendant, she was able to find some good friends who shared her interests. Once Riley completed her training as a Flight Attendant and completed all the tests she had been preparing so long to take, she relocated to London, England to work for a European Airline. It was all coming together, all those years dreaming of seeing this beautiful world were now becoming a reality. So much hard work, finally paying off in the end, "A dream come true," she thought.
For over a year Riley worked hard at her new job. Although the crazy sleep schedule, and rowdy passengers never made things easy, she mad the best of things. Riley took every opportunity to see as much of the countries she would be staying in, regardless of how long she had there. Over time she even started her own YouTube Channel, talking about her experiences working as a flight attendant. She missed her family very much at times, but they knew their daughter was doing something she loved.
Of course, good things don't last forever. Riley had woken up early, she had a lot of preparation to do. She had to make food for the trip, pack, and take as much time as she could to learn about the country she would be flying to that morning. A country she had never visited before, Chernarus. A small country, but by no means boring. There were plenty of things to do there, from seeing old castle ruins, nature walks, and more.
Although she was feeling a bit under the weather from working such crazy hours recently, Riley put on a brave face and told herself, "I need to try my best, no matter what." This was her dream job, after all. So Riley left her house, and was picked up at the usual time for work. She saw to it all the passengers were seated and then prepared herself for the plane to take off. "Just another day on the job," she thought. She could not have been so wrong...
Shortly after Riley walked out with the rest of the crew everyone was in a panic. No one come in or out of the Airport, everything is being shut down. They had no idea what was going on, all they could figure out was there was some kind of infection or Virus going around. Riley had never been in a situation like this, so looked to the more experienced flight attendants and pilots to guide her through this mess. Unfortunately they seemed almost as lost as she was. They found a place to sit away from the barricades and crowds of yelling people. They had to discuss the situation and figure out the best way to handle it. Once Riley sat down however, she felt light headed. "Run down from all this stress" she thought. She quickly began to nod off into a light sleep.
People Screaming, Running for the Exits, Smashing windows to escape, Gunshots ringing in her ears. This is what Riley woke up to, the rest of the crew nowhere to be seen. She immediately got up and began running, ignoring her bags that she left behind. "What the hell is going on?!" she thought. As she frantically looked for a place to hide, she witnessed unimaginable horrors. People running around with limbs missing, blood pouring from all parts of their bodies, and... a man ripping the flesh from a woman's neck with his teeth. The screams echoed in Riley's ears, as riot police were trying to hold back these insane people. They would not go down easy, they were beaten with clubs but it was as if they did not even experience pain. It was complete chaos.
Riley spent what seemed like an eternity hiding in a maintenance closet. She was in shock. "This has to be a nightmare... I wanna wake up," she thought. But the screams and shooting kept going for hours, and all she could do was sit there and cry, and think about the things she saw on the other side of that door.
Eventually, the shooting and loud noises stopped. It was time, she had to move. Who knows how long she would be safe is she stayed put? With her hands shaking, Riley cracked open the door, peeking outside. She stepped out quietly, only to see dozens of these crazy people wandering around, with fresh blood all over their faces and clothing. She had no choice, it was time to run, sneaking out was not an option here. She changed into some clothing before she stepped outside, running in her heels and uniform would surely get her killed. "Okay... you can do this... three... two.. one." She ran as fast as she could, and she did not stop to look back. She heard some of the cannibals make all kinds of shrieking and whaling, and perhaps some of them chased her. There was building burning, cars crashed all over the street. It was like the world was ending. Riley made it into a small store, it seems like she was all alone. Now it was time to figure out what to do next.
