I part of the Philippine Army 1st Scout Regiment under the command of NATO forces to help maintain peace and order , and provide immediate security to our medical staffs.
When we arrive the place was already overwhelming with sick people and it was chaos everywhere.
Our immediate order was to rescue a consul dignitary stranded in a hotel along with his family and there were reports of aggression and violence near the place.
As we were nearing the hotel we immediately hurried to the 9th floor room 901 as that was the last information we got of where they are staying.
As soon as we open the door of room 901 we saw the consul dignitary along with his dead daughter and wife apparently teared apart by someone.
So I asked Mr. Bato if he was ok and are you hurt? He looked at us with a violent look and he tried to rush one of my men and unfortunately Pvt De Guzman was bitten on the neck.
We tried to restrain Mr. Bato but he was so aggressive and we had no choice but to shoot him on the leg but it was to no avail so I shot Mr. Bato on the head and that stop him.
We radio NATO HQ that we need immediate evac as we have wounded soldiers.
Soon later we hear rumbling sounds of people rushing towards us and with the same violent behavior as what we witness with Mr. Bato.
So I ordered my men to hurry on the roof deck of the building but the sheer number of aggressor was overwhelming and one after the another my men was teared up alive .
Only me and the injured Pvt De Guzman was able to reach on the roof deck floor.
I radio evac and minutes later our rescue arrived but Pvt De Guzman was already unconscious was not looking good fearing his life might end as well.
As we are on the helicopter one of the pilot told us that we are now redirected to another FOB as there was a major incident that happened on the main HQ and
currently the HQ is in chaos soon later I noticed Pvt De Guzman was twitching and then later on he just attack one of the pilot,
I tried to restrain him but he was so violent so I had no choice but to shot him on the head.
But our heli was in out of control due to the pilot was badly hurt and later we crashed on a nearby mountain.
I think I was unconscious for days and when I came into senses I saw everything was already in chaos and there was shooting everywhere.
From there I tried to survive as best as I could finding ways to get back home.
