Background

Sam was born and raised in the by his dad UK and is an avid hunter and survivalist. His dad (now dead) taught him everything he knows about it. How to fish, sail, craft, shoot, cook, everything. Sam is quite the antisocial type and is a bit quiet when it comes to meeting new people. He likes to stay away from crowds and you can usually find him camping somewhere quite high up. Sam take long trips out for hunting deer and sometimes bears. Recently, he took himself on a nice, very long hunting trip to Scandinavia once borders had opened and was thinking about living there. He picked the a place he could sail to (Nyheim), and already knew where he was headed for his main trip. Sweden. He had been dreaming of this place for years now. His boat journey took around 6 weeks (enough time for the current virus to mutate bad enough and him not know). Sam finally docks at Nyheim and what he sees is not what he would have expected at all. Emptiness. Abandonment. He stays in Nyhiem for a couple of days and tries to figure out what had happened here. After a couple of days, he sees his first someone (infected), not knowing what to do he tries to talk to them as from afar, he thinks they might be safe. Then he realises what big of a mistake that was. A whole hoard of around 300 infects comes walking around the corner of the street. Sam runs as fast as he could. He knew this was time to get really serious.
