Born to an American expat and a Russian woman Sergei was mostly raised by his grandparents on the outskirts of a Russian city on the Ukraine border. A jovial if headstrong young man he found his way in life mostly by simply being stubborn. He was never quick of wit but always took the time to think out every problem that presented itself and so earned the moniker "Bear" for his slow ambling nature. Finding work as a security guard he traveled often and so found himself in Nyheim when the infection hit critical mass. Separated from his client and crew he fled into the woods to avoid the chaos and infected hordes nearly freezing to death as winter gripped the land. Now half frozen and desperate he crawls from his hiding place to see if there is anything..or any one left to salvage.
