Edward Ridnel found himself first among those going abroad to investigate this strange new infection that had cropped up amongst the population of Nyheim. Specially picked for his skills and knowledge as a virologist, he donned his NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) Gear and was instructed to take up a post outside the city and ensure those potentially infected were to remain outside until further efforts could be made to assist them, such as temporary housing, food, water, supplies, and medical assistance.
