Han Lee was born in a small fishing village in Osaka. He was born to a family who didn't want him. So he was forced to live with as many new families as he could. Going from family to family Han never found anywhere to call home. When Han was in his teens he began to learn how to fight. He loved fighting and would challenge anyone he was unstoppable. There would often be bets taken place during the fights. One day he fought the wrong person and was heavily injured.
Han decided to leave the fighting lifestyle and take up fishing. Fishing was the main source of food entering the village. Han became very skilled at fishing and began to fish for his own gains. Han was eventually asked to go on a fishing trip for a rare species of Squid just on the coast of Nyheim after the outbreak. It took months to get to the coast but they eventually made it. Han began fishing for this rare species of Squid but had no luck. He was interested in the city that he could see from his boat and this really caught his attention. One morning he had set out to go to the city of Nyheim. This is when and where he achieved the nickname Squid.
