Background

Born and raised in Norway, my father was a fisherman. Although fishing helped us get by I started to scavenge junk yards and abandoned building to refurbish and resell as a means to help my family get by. Then came the years of famine, the family fishing spots we used for generations stoped producing fish to sell to the markets. Dad had to sell his boat so the family could survive. That’s when scavenging took up more time, though junk was harder to find i started to buy with what little money I had. Sometimes I would have to break the law and steal items, I hated doing this those were people of the community, luckily never getting caught I decided I couldn’t steal anymore. Then The family started getting sick, and they weren’t the only ones. I chalked it up to just being old age, but that didn’t account for the rest of town suddenly becoming ill. We heard bits and pieces on the radio of a sickness, but we didn’t pay much attention due to our isolation in the country. My parent eventually died sometime later and I was left alone. my town was turning into a ghost town. I decided to take what little I had and headed north, whispers of a safe zone. I scavenged and trader for what seemed like years. Always getting Setback from injuries and hiding from bandits. I have finally made it to nyheim. From what I’ve heard it’s better than the before, full of open markets and good people.
