Henry grew up in a small town near Norfolk, Virginia. His mother was an elementary school teacher. His father was a mechanic, but sadly, he drowned while they were on a fishing trip when Henry was 12 years old. Henry and his brothers grew up poor and scrappy. They fought constantly as children but grew into the best of friends. Although they each have a very unique personality, they are inseparable. Henry is well read, but decided to pursue a career as a mechanic. His mother always loved to remind him that he was wasting his brain as a "grease monkey". It took a long time for the sickness to reach their town, but it didn't take long for it to completely alter their lives. After the virus took their mother, Henry and his brothers were lost. She was their rock, the only thing holding them together in their small little corner of the world. She had always told them stories of her childhood in Nyheim. With no other options, and nothing left but each other, they ventured out toward Nyheim. Taking their mothers ashes with them, to return her to the mountain she had been born on.
