Boris Weber was a native of Russia before the war took place. Just a 21 year old kid studying to get his college degree. It was the summer after his junior year and his cousin Igor Weber had invited him to stay for the summer in Chernarus. Boris having not seen his cousin since the early years of grade school was beyond excited to travel to see Igor. Having talked over the phone and on social media during their lives the two boys had developed a great friendship. After arriving in Chernarus in late May of 2017 Boris planned to stay in Elektrozavodsk until the last week of July just in time for him to return and start school. That summer started out just as planned, Igor picked Boris up from the Airport and the boys headed off to enjoy the summer.
It was July 11th when Boris received a phone call from his mother stating that on the news she had seen a recent outbreak of a fast spreading disease in Chernarus and that he needed to get home soon to avoid getting sick or being stuck longer then he planned. After saying his goodbyes to his cousin Igor and getting in a taxi to the Airport he was unable to get a flight due to the outbreak and flights being shutdown. Immediately after Boris attempted to call his cousin but Igor didn't answer the phone. Boris was unable to get a taxi back into Elektrozavodsk he then began walking back to try and meet up with Igor. Boris then passed a road block manned by a few Russian Soldiers and asked what was going on, unfortunately all they could tell him was that a National crisis was taking place and that he need to get to a refugee camp for safety he then followed the soldiers instructions and headed to the nearest refugee camp.
On July 17th Boris could no longer just sit around not knowing the safety of his cousin he managed to sneak out of the refugee camp and started his journey to find his Igor. After leaving the camp he noticed that every place he went was abandoned and people had left everything behind. Outside of frequent military patrols ( which he had to hide from )Boris didn't see anyone. While inside a local gas station getting some food an old man walked in and told Boris of all the disaster that had occurred the last few weeks. The old man gave him some supplies and wished him luck on his journey to find his cousin and the two parted ways.
Boris now having a small side arm and a canteen was determined to find his cousin. That is where the story begins
