"Andrey" a man in his late 40s - former used cars dealer, hunter-hobbyist and entrepreneur-opportunist of Slavic origin. He spent quite a few years of his adult life travelling around central Europe dealing with used cars, to finally settle in the area of no longer existing 'Republic of Independent Silesia' when strange rumors of an unknown disease began to circulate and traveling became difficult. The Republic was established by local people in south-western Poland, as an desperate attempt to regain some structure in the society, when the rumors of outbreak and following international tensions caused collapse of government in the region. After living a relatively peaceful life there for a short couple of months, The Republic in which he lived have become more and more threatened by the spreading, and now confirmed disease. not to mention the ever expanding influence zone of former Russian states. Annexation of the republic soon followed and after failed attempt to establish resistance forces in the area, he, alongside many others, was captured and transferred to an unknown coastal city in the Russian territory. He was then forcibly pushed into service being a 'maintenance worker' (a pleasant description of being a grease and grime coated - 'clean and fix it' guy) on one of the large transport ships operating from the local port. He is unsure how exactly he ended up in this land. He has some faint memories of the ship being caught in a severe storm (or at least that's what he thinks it was, he was always working deep in the ship compartments) and an alarm to abandon ship that followed. The next thing he remembers clearly is waking up, beaten and cold, on the coast. Since then he's been trying to survive and find any other people not affected by the disease.
