Edgar Sherbinsky was a deck hand on the SS Astral, a small shipping vessel that travels among all continents. Edgar had docked in Churno for the night to unload medical supplies for the wounded in the country. Edgar stayed on the vessel for the night to continue reading his novel. During the night he had his door locked, but could hear that their was quite a loud commotion above. He didn't think much of it. To him it was just crewmen coming back on board from a fun night. Edgar was asked by Captain Rodriguez earlier to report to the briefing room at 8 AM sharp the next day in order to get a brief of their next departure. Edgar had begun to prepare to go to sleep, then he heard a bang on his door. Edgar cracked the door open and looked into the passageway. He heard people talking down the way, so he figured it wasn't anything important. Edgar woke up the next morning and looked at the time. He had just 5 minutes to get to the briefing room which was on the superstructure above. Edgar swiftly ran up the stairs and to his disbelief only five crew members were in the briefing room. Edgar understood that something was wrong, but couldn't figure out what it was. He was promised that they would be safe from the Russian conflict so it couldn't have been from that. Edgar looked at the city and realized that there were fires everywhere, and knew he had to get back the United States.
