Chaplain was born to apathetic parents who focused largely on work. From this, he spent most of his time with his grand father who taught him basics in "outback" life in Australia. He lived most of his life in Daletsford, a lovely lake-town that was ideal, if a little backward. Though his grandfather attempted to teach him morality, he still held the values of self-preservation. This led to a peculiar set of morals. Chaplain is an observer. Calm, sometimes calculated, he is usually watches and waits before acting. With that said, he will generally act after someone has suffered, rather than intervene. This comes from his law, which is survival first, morality later.
Chaplain eventually joined the army, with an interest more on the monetary aspect then an honour to country. He was, at best, average, though obedient. He was placed with a Long-Range Surveillance unit who were aiding the Chernarus Military. On a routine patrol, he found himself quarantined, due to an unknown outbreak. Now, he does his best to survive, but has reconnoitred enough.
