Brayden Anderson was a 19 year Australian tourist in Spain when the outbreak occurred. He was traveling with a group of his mates as a "post graduation vacation" of sorts. Though he had no particular interest in Spain or any of its surrounding countries, . . . . . went along for the mere prospect of getting out of the house and spending some time with his friends and gaining a bit of independence, even if it was only for a month or two.
As part of this vacation, both Brayden and his friends decided to take a trip aboard the Costa Risacca, hoping to enjoy a spot of sightseeing and all was going well untill one night during the trip around the Mediterranean, a massive storm erupted. The Costa Risacca was sent off course and struck a rock formation during the gale. As the ship went down several miles off the coast of South Zagoria, Brayden awoke to the sound of a loud bang and was violently thrown from his bed as the hull of the boat was torn open by the rock formation.
In the panic, Brayden was separated from his friends and was ushered aboard a lifeboat with a handful of other tourists headed for the mainland, unawares for what was to come when they finally washed ashore. When Brayden and the handful of other tourists who were aboard the same lifeboat finally stuck the sand of Chernarus was, they were met with an eerie silence. As the group followed the road headed for the nearest city they could find they were attacked by a pack of Zed's and where forced to scatter.
Over the next two years Brayden has lived off little more then boiled water and whatever canned food he could run across in his travels doing his best to survive the world he has suddenly found himself washed up in.
