Background

I'm Avery. When I was 5 my dad took take me to a shooting range. Yeah, It's not that girly of a thing, but I really loved it. Even though I was only shooting a paper target, I loved to pull the trigger and smell the gunpowder. It was an emotion that nothing could replicate. It was a kind of music which only I could play. It's something that I used to do every week with my dad, until he had to leave.
My dad meant the world to me, he was the sun, the moon and all my stars. Each time he would come back home I would feel safe again being in his arms. He was a military officer, and quite a respected one as well.

In 2009 he left me with my aunt, with no explanations as if to why. After leaving home with his uniform he said to me "I'll be back home soon, honey. Don't worry" and whispered something in my aunt's ear. A week passed, no news from him nor the armed forces. That week I was watching TV and the newscaster was talking about a civil war happening in Chernarus. My aunt just turned off the TV and we both sat in her living room being completely quiet. I had hope, but after weeks and weeks on end we both lost it, first my aunt, then me. I could hear his last words whispering to me everyday, that's all I thought about.

After turning 16, I dropped out of school. My aunt didn't like my decision, but she let it be. In July I took 20,000 rubles out out of my aunt's purse and booked the first flight to Chernarus. Didn't tell anyone about it, and left the house. At 22:25 I landed in Krasnostav airstrip and went over to the city of Krasnostav. An older woman let me sleep at her house and made me some food. Never thought that the people here would be so friendly. The following day the lady found her husband's old map and gave it to me. I said good-bye to her and thanked her for the food and a shelter, and made my way towards the coast. If my dad would be somewhere, he sure as hell would be somewhere near the coast. He adored the lovely sea's wind softly blowing in his face, it relaxed him from all of the work and tasks he had left. I guess everyone's got a way to relax.

Hope I'll find him there.
