Michael Pace is a 30 year old male Pilot born in Omaha Nebraska and living in North Carolina in the United States. The events that led to Michael ending up in Chernarus seemed to line up very unusually. In North Carolina, Michael was flying for a well known regional cargo air carrier. He had a very comfortable position flying a routine flight to Virginia and back in the evenings, a wife 5 years younger than him, and two children.
That brings me to explain how Michael came to Chernarus. One of the executives in Michael's company unfortunately came into the trouble with the IRS, due to not reporting income. Luckily being in such a large roll in the company, allowed him to meet some very influential people, which gained him what we'll call a scapegoat to the IRS problem. In order to fix many problems in dirty situations like this, resorting to favor making is necessary. The executive was given the "opportunity" to fly very confidential and time sensitive cargo from Trabzon, Turkey to Sochi, Russia, just barely over the Russian Border. Completing this favor would make all of the executives trouble with the IRS dissapear.
Naturally, the company needed an experienced pilot from the company to fly the mission. Michael Pace was the only pilot in the company with the experience necessary to complete the job correctly. What was in it for him though? Willing to risk his life and job for this risky mission. Michael was going to be compensated very well, possibly well enough to retire 20 years early.
Being from the United States, Michael was unfamiliar with the events that had recently unfolded in Chernarus and planned his flight directly over. 30 minutes before landing in Sochi, his aircraft had a catastrophic engine failure and had to land the airplane just outside Berezino. Michael has been stuck in Chernarus ever since, fighting for his life. Michael can be identified quickly by a scar on his right hand from a fight when he was younger. He is not too quick to trust; however, he will take a risk to help someone in need.
