Nikolas was born into a poor village farmer family. Nikolas family had 9 kids but 6 of them died during the childhood from various diseases like cholera, flu and many other easally curable diseases by today's standards. Nikolas was the first born child in that family and by far he has the strongest of them all performing various village chores like milking the cows, getting hay, getting wood for the winter and hunting.
Nikolas had a passion for hunting in his early years, and this passion has stayed with him until this very day. Hunting was the main bonding activity in the family of Svarc, besides of course drinking for days in end.
When Nikolas reached the age of 18 he received a letter of conscription by the soviet military. Nikolas burned the letter and dodged the military service for long years until one day he got very drunk and somehow ventured out to chernogorsk where he was apprehended by the police and forcefully put into the military service along with his brothers. During his years in the military the soviet afghan war began. Nikolas was lucky enough to not be sent out to afghanistan, but instead he got send out to the Baltics more specifically Lithuania Soviet Republic. Over there Nikolas was a military truck driver, his work mostly consisted of transporting gravel to construction sites, and while he was not doing that he would get drunk with his fellow comrades. While he was drinking in Lithuania, his other two brothers who got conscripted into the military as well were fighting in afganistan, where they both died in the war. Nikolas was the only son of Svarc family who returned from the military.
Life after military service:
After returning from the military Nikolas brought back a lithuanian girl called Erika to Chernarus where he continued to work on his farm and continue his life of constant drinking and work. During the years Nikolas had a son with his wife Erika. They named they're son Lukas. Lukas was a smart kid, he finished school and went out to Novigrad to get a college degree in agricultural science. Lukas, however has never returned back to his homeland of South Zagoria. In 1999 his wife Erika passed away, he mourned her very, very much, he stopped drinking and build himself a house in the middle of the woods secluded from everybody else. Nikolas could only be seen in the church on sundays, or going to Zelenogorsk to buy himself essential supplies to live alone in the woods. When the infection happened Nikolas decided to hide in the woods, in his little cabin, hunting and foraging berries and all other things that the forest can provide. To this day Nikolas can sometimes be spotted in the woods surviving, and helping out random people who happen to stumble across his little cabin, offering them food or water to those in need.
