Jameson Hood Is a 25 year old Canadian business man visiting his girlfriends family. Due to the worry of civil war breaking out again he tries to avoid the trip entirely fearing for his girlfriends life as well as his own. reluctantly they arrive in Chernarus via one of the recently enlarged airports after 2 layover flights. shortly after arriving we notice there is a strong military presence at the airport and most if not all of the people are departing instead of arriving probably because of the tension in the region. after a rented car, and a 3 hour drive we arrive to meet the family. reluctant to leave the family expresses their deep roots here and refuse to leave. after a few days in the town we notice less and less people, cars abandoned and markets empty. one day Jameson borrows a fishing rod and heads down to the dock. after a few hours he returns up the hill to his girlfriends family house. It looks like someone is in the field but Jameson disregards it and heads inside. A stench fills the room as the sounds of breaking bones and moans emanate from the kitchen. this is when Jameson finds a reporter over top of his girlfriends mother eating her. Panicked he grabs a knife and lunges it into the reporters neck only to have it feel like hes stabbing an old mattress, no blood and no fuss from the man. the man continues to eat and now his throat begins to swell and to jameson's surprise witnesses chunks of slash exiting the wound. terrified, vision going bury he takes a butchers knife and runs out the front door screaming for help. and that's when he notices his girlfriend in the field the figure he was before. he calls out to her and as she turns to face him he realizes that half of her face is gone. mentally scarred and terrified he tries to communicate to her to no avail as she begins to charge at him. Jameson terrified by the monster now in front of him takes a halfassed swing, removing her head as she approached. his vision now blurry and his face covered in blood grows feint and blacks out next to the body of his once beloved girlfriend. when he awakes he is welcomed by an apocalyptic waste land and his journey begins.
