Willbur Hegge: age 32 Willbur was a deck crew on a Cargo ship before the outbreak, he had left port from America to Chenarus on a standard coal pickup. a bad storm hit and had blocked all communication on the ship for a couple days, his captain had faith that they would make it without navigation given him and his crew had been running this route for 19 years. when they arrived at port there was hysteria mass rioting and what seemed to be war. worried Willbur ran home only to find an empty house. raided, all the windows were broken and there was no sign of his daughter. since then he has learned from various radio broadcasts, graffiti, and talking to the occasional survivor that there was an infection spreading throughout the world, he had to adapt quickly and hopes that his daughter made it somewhere safe. as the weeks went on and as he watches the world crumble around him he loses faith in all he once believed and only holds a few threads of hope that anyone he once knew is still out there. the few friendly people he meets helps him keep his sanity and only wants to see his daughter before it is his time.
