Yusef Hister spent his early adulthood in the military where he gained a passion to travel the world. Upon leaving the military Yusef Hister began working towards a more simple self-sustaining life. He picked up many hobbies such as hunting, fishing, and farming.
Yusef Hister was enjoying his life of leisure until he received a letter in the mail recalling him to the military with orders to report to his local military human resource center to begin in-processing. While disgruntled over the situation, Yusef Hister was constantly asking for information as to why he was being recalled to active duty. He was then informed he would be deploying to Chernogorsk in support of previously stationed US soldiers assigned there to assist the CDF. Yusef Hister was assigned into a recon platoon due to his previous training and experience and was outfitted appropriately. Yusef Hister met with his new platoon and spent the night trading stories.
On the 19th of July, Yusef Hister and his squad were assigned to a mission to make an observation post outside of the town for the next 48 hours. During their time they witnessed the bombings and the riots from afar and knew they couldn't return otherwise they'd be dead within the hour.
