My name is Yannick Baros. I was born in Athens, but traveled between my mother's flat in london every summer, and my Papou's house on my fathers side in Athens for the rest of the year. I went to Uni in London and got some work experience with advertising. after 6 years i moved to Istanbul after i was offered a job as a Digital Marketing Executive. I resided here for a while because i liked the hustle of the city.
I liked to get away as well. I traveled a lot around the Black Sea, making close drinking friends in Sochi and Takistan. Occasionally, they would take me out to a beautiful country, Chernarus. We would hunt deer north of Kamensk, but didn't go often since it was so close to the Russian border and never had permits.
I was taking a long vacation with my buddy from Sochi, and he decided we celebrate Chernarus' new found freedom from Civil War by finding some fun in Kamensk; I didn't oppose. We had met some English speaking women in Kamensk. One of the girls asked me to come to her flat in Chernogorsk. I had no idea how far away it was but she was interested in me and said i could stay with her until i went back home. It was only a few days after when Chernogorsk became hostile. People were rioting for fun, partying, fighting.. She thought it would be fun to have a wild party of our own. I remember lots of people in this tiny flat, drinking and puking. It was humid, it felt stuffy. I think some people were sick with bad colds. I decided to leave and try to catch a ride to Kamensk. I found a mother and her young son traveling north to try and cross the Russian border. They were headed through Kamensk. I was hoping, through the midst of the chaos i could find my friend. The mother dropped me off in Kamensk and fled the country. I couldn't find my Sochi pal. I actually couldn't find anybody. I was alone.
