Eugene Russo Jr. was born in the wonderful year of 1996 in Brooklyn, New York. There he was raised in an Italian household by his great father, Eugene Russo, and wonderful mother, Lydia Russo, alongside his older brother Giovanni and younger brother Antonio.
Growing up, Eugene, often referred to as "Gene" or "Junior" (mainly by his father), never had the greatest living conditions. They weren't rich, but they weren't poor either. They were never really concerned with materialistic things. Eugene often thanks his parents for this, as he feels they made him a more respectable and honest man. When Eugene was around five, he gained a great interests in baseball. After school, he'd often go out with some friends in a nearby park and would play baseball for hours. As he got older and continued through school, he stuck with the sport. He considers it to be one of the only things he's ever truly loved.
Eugene ended up getting a rather decent scholarship to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for his expertise in baseball. There, he met a man that would impact his life forever, a man he'd eventually consider a brother, Jason Hayes. Eugene mainly took an instant liking to Jason since they both came from Brooklyn, he thought it was "Fuckn' amazin'." He felt the two had a great bond, he thought they had a great relationship and enjoyed hanging out with him. The only downside was Jason was quiet, so he made up for that by just being naturally loud.
In their second year of College, Eugene suggested that himself, Jason, and three others go explore parts of the world during their winter break. Jason and the others were on board with this idea. The first area they visited was a 'little' area called Chernarus and little did they know, that'd be the area they would have to call home.
The groups adventure in Chernarus started in Chernogorsk being as it was the main city. They felt this was a good place to get started and get a feel for some of the people that lived there. They instantly noticed how beautiful the area was. Open, vast green pastures, kind people that Eugene could not understand for the fuckn' life of him, warm yet very cold weather, and just an all around beautiful place. Eugene, being the smart man he is decided to plan ahead and rent out two rooms in a local Inn. Eugene thought it was fantastic. The wonderful wallpaper, some indents and physical damage to the walls showing true integrity of the building, and a door that would not lock showing the true trust of the folk in Cherno. Eugene was in love with it, and he knew his friends loved it also.
Nearing the end of their first week, they heard some news about the war that broke out and the outbreak. Eugene had no clue what the hell they were saying, as he asked his fellow group members they too had no idea. They just knew something wasn't fully right. Nearing the middle of their second week in Cherno, the United States Army entered Chernogorsk. The group then knew something was seriously wrong. So then, Eugene being the leader he is, approached the American soldiers and asked frankly "What the fuck is goin' on 'ere?" The soldier would passive-aggressively respond "I have no idea, son. But I need you to go back inside, and stay there." Eugene, being annoyed by the response of the soldier, responded aggressively. The soldier and Eugene then had a rather... loud "conversation." In the end, the solider candidly told Eugene and the rest of the group that they should get the hell out of Chernogorsk and should head north. After the group headed back to the Inn, they discussed the idea of listening to the soldiers orders. Two of the three members refused to leave Chernogorsk, as they say it as the best way to stay safe. The remaining three, Eugene, Jason, and one of their friends decided to head North, in hopes of finding out what is going on, but also mainly attempting to remain safe. Their new priority would become survival, and one another, and to defend one another no matter the cost...
