Jason Hayes was an English-Born Male in the United Kingdom. His parents, David and Lisa Hayes were Lower-Middle class who immigrated to the United States with Jason when he was Five years old due to situations involving his Mother and the Mafia.
His parents moved to New York, renting a run-down, shit-hole of an apartment in Brooklyn. Jason lived here for majority of his life, going to school at "PS 107", "IS 187" and "Brooklyn Technical High School". While living in Brooklyn, he has worked multiple Jobs throughout his time there to afford himself the luxuries life has, and has dabbled in some of the 'not-so-legal' methods of earning cash- although for a short time.
When Jason turned Eighteen, he earned a Scholarship and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he majored in Economics. While attending the University, he met Eugene Russo- an idiotic, self-centered Eighteen yr/o who, ironic as it is- lived in Brooklyn just like Jason. It's shocking that these two have not met prior, but New York, Brooklyn included is one big place. The friendship between the two was rough, to say the least. Jason disliked Russo's arrogant nature, and despised the man for a long while until he finally began to open up to him during his Second Year in the University.
During their winter break in the middle of their Second Year, Eugene brought up the idea to travel around the world with a couple of friends. At the time, Jason thought it was a great idea, getting to see what the world was like outside of Brooklyn and North Carolina- if only he knew what he would see of the world.
Eugene, Jason and Three others who were Mutual Friends of the Two began their Travel of the 'world' in Chernarus, as Eugene wanted to visit the "Commie Bastards" as he put it. While the flight was tedious, and had Eugene screaming throughout the flight about the "Commies", and how nobody was a good match against a "Good ol' American", it eventually came to an end. Their stay in Chernarus was to last a Week before they made it to as many other places as they were able to in a Three-Month span. Their stay was much longer than a week.
The first couple days, the group decided to stay around Chernogorsk to see the "Beauty, and all that" as stated by Eugene. The city itself was magnificent, that cannot be lied about, and from a Foreigner who mainly lived with Run-Down apartments blocking his view of the sun- the vast open lands, and houses that weren't connected to one-another was a sure sight to see.
While the country itself was Beautiful, the Inn that Eugene rented for the Group was the polar opposite. It was just like Jason's past, a run-down shit-shack excuse of a room. The wallpaper was chipped, even falling off at some parts in the room. The light fixture has a large crack, and missing pieces of glass in it, and the door itself would not lock and would have to be barricaded to stay shut. The faucet only had one mode, Cold and the water came out at full speed no matter how lightly you moved the knob. The beds were just mattresses on the floor, and it felt like you were laying on Concrete. It's safe to say that they did not put proper planning into the amount of cash a trip like this would cost them.
Near the end of their First Week there, news of war and an outbreak came on the news. While the group did not understand what was specifically being said, the fact still all of them except Eugene that this was not a normal occurrence.
The group stayed for a Second Week in Chernarus due to Eugene's persistence in seeing more of the Countryside. During this Second Week, the United States Army made an entrance in Chernogorsk, to the surprise of the group. The group knew something was truly wrong at this point.
Eugene walked up, real clumsily and almost asked in a serious tone- for the first time in his life- "What the Fuck is goin' on 'ere." The soldier responded in a passive-aggressive manner "I have no idea, son. But I need you to go back inside, and stay there."
Eugene responded aggressively, which then sparked a rather brash conversation between the two. In the end, the soldier told Jason and the others to get to anywhere outside of Chernogorsk, hinting to head to the north. The group got into a small scuffle within itself, and two of the guys decided to stay behind, insisting that it would be alright there with the Army. The remaining three adhered the Soldier's warning and began travelling North, in hopes of finding out what was truly going on, and trying to survive what the aftermath could be. The groups new priority was to survive, but Jason wanted to Escape the Beautiful Countryside, back to the same old run-down, shitty excuses of a home back in Brooklyn. It would sure feel like a home now.
