Background

Born on December 12th, 1984, at Chernogorsk Hospital, Dmitri Belenski was a child that was brought up by strict parents. He was always expected to be on top and never better. When Dmitri graduated, He went into the CDF. He built up his reputation well, and was eventually promoted to a Sergeant in the CDF during the 2009 civil war. During this civil war, me, my wife Nadia, and son Sergei were doing decent enough to make ends meet. We lived in Berezino, which wasn't the best of towns but we held our own.  During this civil war, I was caught in a homemade bomb explosion and that has given me mild PTSD. However, this did put me out of action for a little time, and the State did nothing for me during my time out of action.  After 2 or 3 weeks after that, independence started to become real popular for the people in Chernarus, and eventually they send the CDF running with their tails between their legs. I for one felt betrayed by my country, so I threw away my patches as if I was never in the CDF. The start of this outbreak caught us all by storm, me especially. I was still recovering from my leg injury, and needed time to rest. The stories on social media were true, but I did not want to confirm them because that would not look good for someone who stripped themselves of their patches. It wasn't until the second week where this outbreak took a toll on me. While we were fleeing from Berezino, Nadia and Sergei were caught in a mob trying to get out of the city. It began to get violent, and then there was an explosion at the gas station. My heart sank because the last I had seen of them was near the gas station. I move everyone out of the way to search for them. There were bodies everywhere, all of them charred and burning. I couldn't even confirm if Nadia and Sergei died in that explosion. I have not seen them sense. I knew to ensure my survival, I had to keep on moving. I stole a car that had just enough gas to get me to Elektrozavodsk. After I heard that bombings from the Air Force were taking place, I knew I had to get out of the main cities, and try to reside in the rural lands North of Elektro and Chernogorsk.
