Abraham Daly was an American man born in New England. He grew up living on his family farm, obviously they weren't farmers anymore just owned the farm through their family. What was once a hub of animals and crops was now mostly fencing and empty fields. His father was a fan of attempting projects on this vast landscape including metallurgy and attempts at digging ponds. Abraham was forced to help his father in many of these ventures. Most of them failed but a few were successful but were quickly abandoned to start the next project that his father came up with. When he was finally finished with school at the age of 18 he planned on taking a gap year making pocket money by helping his father with his increasingly eccentric projects. It was that summer after graduation that the infected struck and his family went to Europe to try and find his family that never migrated to America. They attempted to get into Chernarus to find their family. The night of the bombing he was finding himself sneaking across the border in the dead of night with his family. As the army was more focused on the rabid attacks they fled further and further into Chernarus to escape the bombs. They found themselves in Berezino following the mass of refugees travelling down the road. The night before they were expected to reach Elektro he and his family were in a makeshift camp resting for the night. He left his tent to relieve himself in the woods a few meters away. As he finished he heard a bloodcurdling scream and in the short second sprint back to camp he realized what was happening. Shambling creatures had found his camp and were biting his family. He ran to help them but was quickly grabbed and bitten on the upper arm. He used his pocket knife to dislodge the creature's bite before turning and running away hearing the screams of his only family left slowly turn into silence. He was lost in the woods, he had heard about the infection and knew that his time was almost up. He wandered North completely unaware of the evacuation and spent the next few weeks in the woods surviving off of the knowledge he learned on his family's farm. For some reason the infection never took him. On the morning of the 24th after a storm blew away his camp in the wood he finally found the treeline and emerged hoping to be in a safe neighboring country only to realize he was back on that coastal road where he lost his family. No idea where on it he was his only choice was to keep walking until he found something.
