Sticks was a name given to me by my friends in my school years. It was a play on my name that i was given at birth, and the fact I used to get these old branches off of our oak trees in the backyard and carve Walking Sticks with my swiss army knife. Got really good at it and made some money too! My father gave me that knife when i was 9 years old. Seems like it was yesterday that i first flipped out that blade and accidentally cut my thumb. My dad gave me a band-aid and told me to never do that again or he'd take it away until i graduated high school. I've had this knife for 62 years now. I always kept it with me, even during school when the cold war started. When the whole U.S.A was afraid of Russia launching nukes and causing a nuclear winter for us. I was always watching people, suspicious of everything everyone did. I'll admit, i'm a became little schizophrenic after the idea of one of my classmates was a possible soviet spy, or my teacher being Stalin in disguise!....came into my noggin.

Since then, I never kept friends long enough to remember get attached to. In fact, i didn't want to make friends. I, Hated, being around other people that wasn't my family. I didn't want someone that i befriend, to turn out to be a spy that kills either Me or my Family! After graduating High School, i went straight into the army. I wanted to make sure that i can protect my family from any foreign invaders that trespass on U.S soil. That's when i learned how to... Break out of my shell a little bit, and i made a friend. Originally he was my Bunk Buddy, PVT. James Kerrington. He was the only real person i trusted outside of my family. For the first time i had someone that i could talk to that i wasn't related to, that i can talk to.... that i can talk to.

25 Years in the Army seem to go by fast and during all that time i was just waiting for the Red Menace to finally press that button. When that day finally came in December 26, 1991, i was relieved. No In fact, the day the cold war ended, my fears dissolved like the Soviet Union did. James, his girl he married after boot camp, and I all celebrated and decided to retire from the military. He moved with his Wife to Sunny California to live in the City, and as for me, I got curious, and i wanted to see if Russia in fact was, Really all that bad. In February of 1993 i flew and moved to Chernarus, and became a local there. It took me a while  I knew enough Russian to get by from the Army Language Training during the Cold War as to listen in for Intel if we were to hear anyone speak it. I have lived here for 26 years and have been through it all. The Civil War in 09, when those... Things, those things those Filthy Nasty Fucking things appeared. There is a reason i walk with a cane now, one of those things broke my leg and it didn't heal right since i didn't have medical access to anything other than a stick and a rag to make a shit splint. I killed that one, and more, and i am not going to let them take me down now. I will die on my own terms.

I wonder what James is doing now......

Glad to see a Trader in Chernarus
