Maynard Pickens- Maynard owned a small environmental cleanup company in Missouri. He had made a decent living as a backhoe operator, but his big break came when he started doing lead cleanup around the area. Maynard pumped every extra dollar into that company, until he was large enough to be one of the more well respected employers in his small town, though permanent help was difficult as they traveled to often. Maynard's brother was an International Account rep for FAT equipment, big excavators, bulldozers, dump truck. Maynard's brother used his connections in Russia to get Maynard the inside track on a 100m+ job. The one catch... the job was 2yrs long and in Chernarous. Men tore each other limb from limb like animals, only to compound the violence by feasting on anything left. Everything was empty, they were all gone except for the undead. Maynard and his last few men escaped into the woods, and survived off the land until gunshots told him there were others that weren't... infected. Hope was all they need to decide on heading west until they found any sign their families were still there. Maybe Gloria was kept from coming back, like a quarantine. Maybe she was forced back to the states. Maybe the sickness hadn't made it all the way to little 'ol Missouri. Maybe Gloria was out there somewhere. Maynard had to k
