I grew up on a farm in Texas, one of them old country like ones. It wasn't long before I was a grown man, I had to live my mama and papa to go and make a living. I wasn't much for the civil way of making money, it wasn't the way I would do it. Let's just say I am a physical kind of man. Age of 20 I enlisted in the army and ended up fighting the Vietcong in the jungles of Vietnam. I saw a lot of things there, things that I wont forget, things I ain't too proud to admit.
One day I was the Bravo in my platoon, for those that don't know that is the next in command in case the sergeant get's shot, or falls in one of them booby traps like. We came across this open field. I don't know if it was rice or some other crop. But we decide it would be easier crossing it than going through the thick jungle. We didn't even make it halfway across that field before 3 of us got shot dead on the spot. Me and the rest of the fellas took cover in this tiny watery ditch. We were basically laying down, screaming, shouting at one another. My sergeant was trying to call for support behind a rock about 10 meters from us. I watched him die right then and there. One of us had to go get the radio, I told Bernie to do it. He was small and wouldn't be seen crawling over there. When he got hold of the radio I called for help. Evacuation couldn't get to us until 20 minutes. So we knew what we had to do. Stay and fight.
After what I think was around 7-10 minutes of shooting at each other they decided to do a jump towards our location. They ran at us like dogs, not a scent of fear in their eyes as we shot em right between them.
I soon hear the faint sound of Huey's heading our way those boys arrived just a little too late. Not one of us came out of there without an injury or our life taken from us.
We arrived at one of the forward operating bases in one of the medical wards. Only 2 of us survived the trip home. The other 2 survivors done bled out. I was lying in the bed falling in and out of consciousness. But every time I opened my eyes it was like a saw an angel. The most beautiful woman I ever saw. When I woke up I even got to speak to her. She was a Chernorussian nurse. I didn't never learn about Chernarus. But I swore that when I was done here. I wasn't leaving without her.
And sure enough I didn't. Not to Texas though, no I haven't seen my family since I left them. I ended up living with her in a house slightly outside of a town called Stary Sabor. I lived there for a while. Until... I think it was around 2010 maybe 11 when the outbreak started. I don't know... I don't really spend my time counting years. My wife went out to gather some wild of them wild mushrooms. But she didn't never come back. And that got me worried. I went out searching for a few hours without any luck. I only found one of her shoes. Without any clue as to where she is... I'm still looking. I figure if anyone deserves to put out of her misery it's me.
Well... that's my story. Now how the hell did you end up here?
