My name is Tony. I grew up in a small town in Sweden, called Västerås. After having spent many years in a university I decided to start earning my own cash. Having saved up to a large sum, I managed to get a few friends together for a trip around the world. We started off in 2015 and made our way to all of the continents. In may 2017 I met a girl, Hannah, just outside Prague, and we instantly fell in love. A couple of weeks later, we decided to go to Turkey together. And so we did.
It felt like paradise, and like we were the last to people left on earth. Little did we know that life was going to imitate art.
In the end of July, I don't remember the date, we had just had a dinner down in a very old part of Ankara when we heard screams and what sounded like dogs growling. That was when we cut a corner and saw a group of people eating away on a small boy while his parents was laying in pain a few meters away. Some seconds went by as we stood looking at the crowd as frozen. The boy's parents soon also started to growl and move, slightly twitching. That was when they lost focus on the little boy and turned towards us...
We ran. Ran so fast that we soon started to pant heavily and felt that familiar blood taste in our mouths. The growling crowd was still gaining on us, and just as a blink of the eye Hannah fell, hit her head in the pavement and didn't get up. I pulled her arm, so hard I thought it was going to break. The crowd was still gaining on us and I therefore decided to carry her.
As soon as I had gotten up on my feet, with Hannah on my shoulders, the screaming growling crowd grabbed her left leg and we both fell.
I can still hear the sound of teeth slicing through her flesh. I can still remember the smell of her blood, dripping down on me.
With tears running from my face I ran for my life. As soon as I cut a corner I saw a motorbike standing a few meters away, and I could see something swaying just below the handle bars. The keys. Yes! It started right away and I rode that bike until the gas went out.
Having walked some hours, without seeing anyone, I managed to find a small deserted fishing boat, just outside the small town of Sinop. The boat had a chart of the Black Sea, and I took course just northeast of the town.
Some hours ago I reached the shore of, I believe, Chernarus. I really don't have a plan, but my only goal is to survive. No matter what.
