Freedom Joe Walker was the first born to Jethro and Ruby Jean Walker, Being the oldest he was always expected to keep a close eye on his younger siblings and protect them from any threats or dangers. Being the eldest sibling Freedom often took charge and stood between his family and threats a long side his younger brother Constitution. Together they would beat the pulp outta anyone picking on their brothers Cake and Murica and they would ward off any boys they deemed unfit for their younger sister Liberty Mae. Freedom and his closest sibling Constitution were very close since childhood, often hunting together and chasing the women at ho-downs together.
Freedom often found himself wandering the woodlands near their family farm, he would often lose track of time while stalking and observing the animals until nightfall and he'd have to find his way out of the woods and back home in near pitch black. He would swear that sometimes a doe would lead him back to the forest edge but none of his siblings nor parents ever saw this doe and wrote it off as his imagination. He did however one day befriend a bear, they bonded after Freedom found the bear wounded and starving just before winter and nursing it back to health and bringing it plenty of fish to fatten up for hibernation.
After finding their father Jethro dead in April of 2015 near their moonshine distillery a family feud kicked off with their distant relatives. One day one of their relatives snuck in the house and opened fire, Freedom quickly jumped up and grabbed Cake and yelled to the others to get out!! As soon as they made it to the safety of the forest tree line the others noticed a lot of blood dripping down Freedom's shirt, he had gotten hit by bird shot and the spread was pretty wide nearly covering his entire upper right back. Freedom passed out from blood loss shortly after. It took nearly 3 months for Freedom to heal and once healed they all decided the feud and farm were not worth their lives and began looking for a new home.
They were living with a family friend as they looked for places to live when he suggested to them a small island off the coasts of South Zagoria and Russia called Jeleni Ostrovy or Deer Isle. He was a Russian immigrant of this small island who came to America in 2009 after the Chernorussian's took back the island. He knew of the families love for hunting and fishing and thought the beautiful nature of the island would suit them perfectly and put them far away and hidden from their family members trying to hunt them down. So with the destination set the Walkers gathered what money they had and bought a small piece of land near Kozlovka Sobor and made their way to their new home in January 2016.
The family lived and survived off the land, rarely making trips into the citys except for by needs of necessity. Bartering their animal pelts, meats, fish and vegetables for any money/items they may need. The family lived peacefully until July 2017 when everything began to change. The small island saw many new inhabitants from May - July due to some tensions and fighing beginning on the mainland that people were trying to escape. Then came the massive attacks on both the mainland and Kamenogorsk harbor and all hell began breaking loose. Refugees came in boat loads and the eldest brother Freedom along with Liberty tried helping the CDF as much as they would allow by bringing meat for the new arrivals and clothing made from animal hides. But that would not last long...
6 days following the CDFs attempt to inspect and quarantine new refugees before letting them free on the island was abandoned and infection quickly spread throughout the island killing most of the inhabitants and leaving the secluded Walker family feeling alone in their new home and wondering if they had made the right decision to move here.
