My name is Kevin O' Shea. I am originally from Dublin Ireland. I was a secondary school teacher (English and P.E). I was on a cruise ship, The Costa Risacca, with my family on what was meant to be a 2-month holiday around the Black Sea. One night, a violent storm broke out while we were on board and caused the ship to strike a rock formation. The ship was sinking, and widespread panic broke out. During the panic that occurred, I somehow got separated from my wife and kids. Certain that they were on board a lifeboat, I had no choice but to abandon ship. Stranded at sea, a stranger came to my rescue. Jakob was his name. A rugged and dirty looking man who managed to pull me on board a lifeboat. Seeking shelter from the storm, we turned towards the direction of the coast. We sailed through the night and by the break of dawn, our vessel was washed up on the east coast of Chernarus, close to the city of Berezino. All survivors agreed that the best course of action was to seek assistance in the nearby settlement of Berezino. As we ran towards the city, what we saw was incomprehensible. Blood thirsty people running around, chasing, hunting and killing everything in their path like possessed animals. To avoid being savagely eaten and dismembered, I ran inland towards the woodland on the edge of the city. Through the narrow branches and dense forest, I saw what I thought was one of those demons running towards me. I ran, shaking and hid cowardly behind a pile of rocks. I glanced up over the rocks and to my dismay, who was it only Jakob! Yelling at the top of my lungs, I called out his name “Jakob! Jakob! It’s me, from the lifeboat!” We stared at each other with a sigh of relief, thrilled to be in the company of a familiar face again. Desperate to find my family, I pleaded with Jakob to help me search the outskirts of Berezino ……………….
