Dave Stacey always wanted to join the military. Even from a young age he was fascinated by documentaries on any kind of war or battle, and loved learning about firearms. This fascination continued on into his teenage years, and as a result it came as no surprise to anyone when he decided to enlist right after highschool at the age of 18. Dave was enlisted for a year when the stories of a disease that made people seemingly rabid and unaware of any damage done to their bodies. At first Dave didn't believe the stories and attributed it to drug use, but when the call came to send him to Chernarus he would see just how wrong he was. Dave was one of the US forces forced to retreat from Chernogorsk. During the ensuing chaos he was split off from his group. Tired alone, and fearing being attacked by rioters for his gear, or caught by infected due to his slowed pace, Dave decides its best to ditch most of his kit in order to blend in more as well as move quickly using as little energy as possible. Dave managed to escape the city to the north east, though unable to regroup. Dave stayed close to Chernogorsk hoping to spot some sign of a US presence, but instead witnessed civilians ransacking the city. Afraid that he was left behind, and having no food or water of his own he re-entered the city to try to gather as many supplies as he could to help him survive. Since that night he has accepted his fate, that he was most likely presumed dead. Up until now Dave has avoided contact with survivors choosing to isolate himself rather than risk a confrontation, but his need for human contact becoming increasingly high has driven him to come out of isolation and try to interact with survivors he may run into.
