Alexei Kuznetsov, a hunter, operating in the forests north of Kamensk, runs a pelt and animal meat selling business. Not exactly up to date on the latest news on the first week, hears explosions and aircraft in the South. He decides to leave his homestead the next week to investigate. On the second week of the outbreak, he encounters a roaming citizen while hunting wild boar, looking battered and smelling like hell. Coming closer to ask if the citizen was alright, he was jumped at by it, causing him to flee. Scared out of his mind when seeing the thing, he drives as far away from the location as he can, fearing it is a demon, or some sort of monster. Calling the Chernarussian police department with no answer, he begins driving South to spread the news. Finding himself 1 week later later on the coast in Chernogorsk, wandering alone trying to find family members who lived in the city to explain to him what happened to all the lively towns and cities he once knew.
The character uses basic survival skills to travel around Chernarus, not using much better than Civilian equipment and weapons scavenged from military roadblocks. Curious and friendly with other people, a more innocent character in terms of hostility, and not interested in killing others.
Main occupation and source of income is trading animal meat and survival materials found on the map, still keeping the "Hunter" as a main occupation because of the efficiency of finding food and resources and living off the land instead of benefiting off of techniques such as robbery and murder to acquire valuable materials.
His father and mother, Ivan and Katya Kuznetsov, lived in the city of Chernogorsk before the outbreak. The family lived in the state of Chernarus since the Soviet Occupation.
