..Heh. They say that coal mining's a terrible job. I should have listened.

Kena Gorman is a caucasian male; born in South Zagoria in 1960. He grew up with a relatively normal education; and moved to Chernarus in his early teens to work in a coal mine. He slaved away at this job for quite a while. Whilst he was working, he had managed to save up enough money to purchase a small shack on the southern outskirts of Cernaya Polana, near an airstrip. Throughout his ventures, he survived multiple cave-ins and had been diagnosed with a mild case of Coal workers' pneumoconiosis, also known as anthracosis. He survived through the numerous bombing runs conducted by the Russian government, due to being in a relatively low-priority bombing area. When the first signs of infection started appearing, his wife of 20 years was taken sick, and eventually turned; after which she attacked and killed their son, 18 years old at the time. He had to watch as his family tore itself apart, quite literally, limb from limb. All this horror lead up to Kena beginning to lead a life in seclusion. he kept to himself, and paid the local bandits for 'protection' from outside sources. eventually, he had enough of this lifestyle, and set out to find others that he could survive with.
