Frank Young was born on the south coast of the UK to a poor family. He had an average upbringing but hated school and considered it a prison. He would often spend his time making homemade ghillie suits and scare path walkers in the local forest behind the council estate he lived on. Frank knew he wanted to be a soldier, but was denied from every branch of the British Military due to minor medical ailments.
Frank was 16 when de decided to run away to France and join there iconic and elite French Foreign Legion. Although you had to be 18 to join, Frank had been an early developer, already sporting a full beard and deep voice. He knew he could lie about his age and medical record, it's not like the French could check. But Frank had to be sure he could fool them. Living on a council estate surround by shady individuals, Frank knew some of his friends could put him in touch with forgers. Armed with an expertly faked passport and birth certificate, Frank made his way to Aubagne, France.
Frank passed selection and made it into training. This is where Frank excelled, beating the other recruits in every score expect the French language tests. Frank eventually passed training, as well as the 50-kilometre march in full combat gear to earn his Kapi Blanc. Frank served in multiple combat zones, including Africa and Iraq, where he trained local paramilitary forces. He left the French Foreign Legion at 21, aiming to go into the private sector, which took him to Chernarus.
Frank arrived in Chernarus on the 20th of June. It wasn't long before he settled into his new job, he would be part of a security team led by ex Russian special forces based out of the city of Chernogorsk. Their job mainly consisted of escorting rich clients around Chernarus, as well as providing security for business.
On the 7th of July Frank heard the news of Russian bombing. He wasn't worried though, his job was a private contractor and he knew he would not get involved if the situation became more serious, besides, the Russians would frequently do this as a show of force to other ex-soviet bloc countries in the baltic. Frank continued his day, getting into an SUV to escort another client.
During this mission, Franks SUV hit a buried IED, flinging him from the burning vehicle. His last memory was looking towards the wrecked SUV and seeing his team picked off, one by one.
Frank woke up on the 19th of July in a hospital bed, when he looked out of the window he recognised the skyline of Chernogorsk. The city was in chaos. He could see troops with western looking equipment withdrawing from the city, riots raged all around them, and slowing moving and sick people seems to attack anyone that they could get their hands on.
Frank knew the world that he was used to didn't exist anymore, and as he exited the hospital his sole purpose was to survive.
