Catherine Hunter was born on October 27 1997 in Portsmouth, England to Harold and Elizabeth Hunter. The majority of Catherine's childhood was happy and fairly well off due to her father's occupation as the headmaster at a private art academy and a photographer, and her mother's occupation as an accountant. Her life was fairly comfortable and uneventful all throughout her childhood and through her teen years until she was 19 years old.
In April of 2017 Catherine's father decided to travel to Chenarus and bring Catherine alongside him to document the political dissent that was beginning to grip the nation. Their trip was supposed to end in July, but Catherine's father had gotten agressively beaten up during a demonstration as he was documenting the event and was hospitalized, extending their stay for the next few weeks. Catherine began to continue documenting the violent events of the next few weeks, and began to beg her father to consider leaving the country but failed. She continued her work until the fateful day of July 11th when the outbreak finally took hold. Catherine was forced to evacuate with others to Chernogorsk, where she learned the fate of those who were in the hospitals. With a heavy heart, Catherine realized that she would never see her father again and began to spite the enirety of the trip and her situation.
Catherine ended up unable to leave the country as she had no money to her name and could not reach any of the airports, and all attempts to contact her mother had failed. She ended up being stranded In Chernogorsk. The final night she spent in Chernogorsk was one of vicious horror and survival, escaping the carnage with only the clothes on her back once again. Catherine's only goal now is to survive for as long and as best as she can in order to find a way to potentially return home.
