Background

Davis Pavlovich was born in Mogilevka, Chernarus to his parents Markov and Annie. Annie was a Mormon Missionary sent to Chernarus, which was quite rare and came with it's dangers as an opposing religion, as part of her obligations to the church and would meet the widowed hunter, Markov during her travels. The two would slowly fall in love as Markov became part of the church together and it wasn't long until the two became married and had a child. With the rising tensions surrounding them continuing to exponentially grow, the two decided that it was time to leave to the states shortly after Davis turned 9. Just in time too since the civil war was not long after the three had left Chernarus.
In the states, Davis grew up as any new immigrant would. Struggling to learn how the ne society works and always the trouble of making friends you can only just barely communicate to due to your limited knowledge of the English language. Davis would spend much of his time where he felt most comfortable in this new place, the woods. He loved the outdoors and would frequently go hiking and hunting with his father.
Davis' mother fell ill with cancer when Davis turned 17 and shortly died a year later. He and his father both felt grief and would take her mother's ashes to where they first met as some sort of romantic thing that Davis never really understood, but he could grasp going home at least. So, the father and son traveled back to Chernarus after they had enough money saved up to be able to go back. They returned fairly well, people seemed to be in a rush to leave and they quickly gathered that the reason why was because of the tensions had once again risen. People had begun to flee the country for the same reason they had before, but before they could do anything about it, the boat left and they were stuck.
The two decided that it would just be best to go and finish their duty to their mother and stay for just a little while since the next passenger boat wouldn't arrive for a couple of weeks. After they returned to their old town, finding it mostly abandoned, and spreading his mother's ashes, the outbreak began. It didn't hit Mogilevka right away, but once it did, he and his father were the only ones to leave... Or at least that's all they could tell since they just grabbed what they had on them and ran into the woods.
The boy and his father spent a day or so out there, built a fire, and were settling down when Davis caught sight of a bloody bandage on his father. His father waved it off and Davis nodded, not knowing much about what bites do to people. It was right around when they were about to fall asleep when his dad turned on him and was attacking him like the crazy people back at the town... He managed to get his father off of him and pushed him back into the fire, which only seemed to piss off the now zombified old man who was coming at him again. Davis' shirt caught fire and burned him pretty bad, but his body was so pumped full of adrenaline that he continued to fight off his dad without feeling it too badly. He grabbed hold of the weapon and killed his old man, put out the fire the way he learned in school, and just continued on... He now travels on through the country with nothing but the drive to survive.
