Joe Collins was a dutch businessman that came to South Zagoria on a business trip. He had been to South Zagoria before and had made some friends that he used to hunt with. Just like any other trip they decided to go for a long hunting trip deep into the forest. After being in the forest for a while they heard helicopters flying over quite frequently. Seeing a military chopper wasn't a rare sight with the amount of military bases in the area, but they had never encountered this many before. They decided to call of the hunting trip. Before coming back to town the group split up as they all stayed in different villages. He returned to the village he rented a room in to find the world in chaos. He decided to head back into the forest and survive on his own. He would spy at people from a distance and noticed that they might be even more dangerous than the infected. He did this for quite a while until he spotted a group of people that seemed to be friendly and helpful. These were the very first people he approached after the incident, and to his surprise one of his friends, a taxi driver called Karl Wilhelm, was with them. He was still hesitant to trust anybody so he assumed a new name, the nickname that his hunting buddies had given him, Husky.
He ended up joining this group who went by the name of 'The Runners'. He helped them out with all kinds of chores, but was mostly concerned about the security aspect as he had seen how most people had become by now. His new group was a well known trader group that was based in public locations. They were an easy target and got attacked almost constantly. After his friend Karl dissapeared he began to lose hope. They were forced to move over and over, leaving everyone depressed. The endless battles changed him and in the end he decided to leave the Runners.
After leaving the runners He would roam around the country alongside a mute girl called Olivia Rose, who used to be part of the Runners aswell. She had joined the 5.0.3, a group that Husky was alraedy familiar with as they used to have close ties with the Runners. However they were nothing alike. The 5.0.3 cared only for themselves, robbing whomever they please and torturing those that opposed them. Husky got introduced to them once again by Olivia and ended up joining them. At this point the 5.0.3 and the Runners were enemies, and Husky particapated in the fights against his former allies. He had no trouble hunting them down and carving into their backs, nor did he find pleasure in doing so. It was nothing personal, just business.
As time passed Husky became more trusted within the 5.0.3, slowly climbing up to the top of the gang. He is now one of the leaders of the 5.0.3 and spends most of his time with them. Within the group he is a calm person with a fairly friendly attitude compared to the others. However he has no empathy for most people. He still acts like a businessman and will shoot people in cold blood if it helps him achieve his goals. His friendly side is still shines through though, and he usually won't trouble people that he likes. When he is away from the group he will usually go back to being how he used to be.
