What can a man do when everything else he has tried to accomplished has failed for him? Take to the streets? To robbery? To drugs and alcholism? Well that was certainly some of the issues that bothered Michael through life. An abusive mother and a father who left him at a young age didn't give him much chance of a normal life from the get-go. After having failed several educations and attempts at straightening himself out he soon found himself to be in the company of less than just people, whom quickly took advantage of his skills and made him a weapon smuggler within Europe.
As he continued his work, now having found a 'stable' income in his life he became quite affluent, gaining quite the reputation in the nordic countries of his smuggling skills within the criminal underworld. However, that were soon to be changed. As the war raged on in Chernarus and his supperiors took notice of the opportunity that could be taken, him and a few others were dispatched to Chernarus to establish a smuggling ring to supply the CDF and other rebel groups with weapons and ammunition to help fight off the Russian threat. As the war finally came to an end him and his 'colleagues' were ordered to stay in the area, to take advantage of the new rebuilding of an entire new country, seeking to gain as much influence and power in the vacuum before anyone else could take it.
As he stayed in the city of Zelenogorsk, doing his work he met a young bright British Agriculture expert whom had been sent to aid in the rebuilding of the nation. Michael took quite a fancy to her as they started to speak more and more, and talks lead to dates, dates lead to spending the night, and spending the night eventually led to marriage. They got married within the short time period as Michael continued in his work, being honest from the start of his work and goals, to which she were supportive.
The rumours started, the bombing by the factory. Rumours continued to spread, and uncertainty struck the young couple. Michael got in contact with their supperiors, only to find out that all contact had been cut to him and his colleagues for unknown reasons, he was now stuck in a foreign country, with no way of returning. Luckily due to his marriage, he could find his way back home via her contacts, however that were not to be so. Soon the dead started rising. They were now properly stuck as all resemblance of civilization slowly broke down around them. They fled from Zelenogorsk together with the CDF but were seperated from the not long after. Now having lived in the woods, surviving due to scavenging whatever they could, they've finally decided to emerge to see what may be left of civilisation.
