Enter David Nichols.
David is (was) a university student from the United States who found himself in Chernarus living with an Uncle in Chernogorsk, in an effort to study the turbulent political climate of Chernarus. (July 7th) On his way home from a late evening in the local library, he found himself checking twitter only to see a video of a Russian helicopter flying into some old military base earlier that evening. This no doubt caught his attention, being that this would only further complicate the political climate. (July 11th) A few days later, this incident grew into a much larger problem. After hearing about the attacks at Severograd by what seemed to be soldiers, Davids Uncle urged him to make plans to head back home as the situation would no doubt get worse. The next week saw the nation spiral from outrage to absolute panic. Keeping tabs on the situation, David found himself reading leaked reports of some sort of virus that was spreading throughout the countryside, what David saw horrified him. What of his family back home? Will he and his Uncle be ok? Overnight, International Transportation was shutdown in an effort to contain the outbreak. (July 14-19th) Stuck in Cherno, David watched the days go by.. watching society devolve into madness, friend turn on friend. On the 19th, hell would swallow the city itself. David was ripped out his restless sleep with a loud crack. Walking throughout the apartment he called out for his Uncle. No response. David instinctively felt panic sweep through is mind. Running through the house he found his uncle at his bedroom desk, blood pooling on the ground. Before David could react, he felt a swift pain on the back of his head, then black... He awakes to find himself lost, and with a roaring headache.
David is an ordinary guy. His Mother took him hiking a lot as a kid so he is somewhat familiar with outside living but he is no military man. If given the opportunity, David will look for ways to end situations diplomatically and hopes to find the good in people. Only time will tell if David can hold to his values in this unforgiving new world.
