Ex-Military Infantryman, known mostly by his nickname and previous callsign "Bigfoot." Mr. Yar lives a fairly solitary life, scavenging ruined towns and settlements for whatever shiny things he can find, staying mostly out of sight while doing so. A Weapon System enthusiast who treats his firearms like the lovely ladies that they are, his pack will be mostly filled with arms and ammo. Not the "shoot first" type, but always keeping you in the crosshairs if he doesn't know you. Mr. Yar lives a transient lifestyle, sleeping under the stars, but he longs to find stability, safety, and a home, eventually. An only child of parents who both died when he was 12 in a tragic accident, he was taken in by his grandparents and taught the "old ways" of the woods, survival skills, tracking, and hunting, among many others. Nave joined the Chernorussian Army as an Infantryman at age 18. When he was 25, on a routine patrol while deployed, an IED explosion deposited 17 pieces of shrapnel into and severely burned / wounded the left side of his body, also dismembering the pinky finger of his left hand. He healed quickly and continued to serve in the Army until he was honorably discharged at age 30, although his injuries have limited his running abilities and left him with a significant limp. Unemployed shortly after discharge due to a recession and "lack of job skills," Nave made ends meet by bartending and picking up odd jobs (not always legal) from bar patrons who happen to run with the crowds who make you money when you have a skillset like his; Intel job here, logistics there, personnel transport... maybe someone gets shot along the way... who knows? Nave makes it a point to stay neutral in most conflicts, preferring the life of a mercenary. These days he is a fairly useful and happy individual, feeling that he has the drive and skillset to thrive in this new society.
