Jace grew up as a kid that moved from place to place, across the world. His dad worked for Shell and had a prominent role in the company which lead to different social environments every year. He had a good life, nothing to worry about and a being well fed throughout his life. He had all the freedom in the world and got the education and desires he needed, yet he was not a spoiled kid. He still had to work hard throughout his life to become what he was before this whole sh*tshow began.
Always being homeschooled lead him to venture into different educational area and this is where he found a passion early on, bodies of water. After a while he settled in Tuscon, AZ when he got accepted into the Hydrology & Atmospheric Science department at the University of Arizona. This is where he studied ground water and large bodies of fresh water and graduated with a paper about ground pollution around graveyards, natural graves and other burial grounds (of men and animals).
This research led him into the American Institute of Hydrology in Denver, CO where he spearheaded a research and development program to minimize the risk and danger of these polluting areas. When on one day the government showed up to his team and "contracted" him to work for a government-run research team consisting of many different fields and expertises to find the source of a deadly virus in Chernarus. Jace was tasked with testing the waters around different areas and finding a link between the roaming dead and the ground water but only one month into the deployment everything turned south and the pandemic turned into a chaotic mess.
Jace lost his team, unknowing where they might be and is left on his own.. still determined to find the cause and a solution for this outbreak he still carries supplies around in the hope he can setup a make-shift lab.
