Growing up in a noble family in the United Kingdom, "Winston" was bound to be successful in his coming life. After finishing his education at St James Senior boys school he enrolled in the University of Surrey where he studied photography for 4 years and completed his master degree. Following his graduation, he decided he would enlist in the U.K army as a photographer to capture images that he could use for his biography. Finishing the joining process, he was given no weapon training but had to undergo vigorous training exercises where he stood out from the rest of the enlistees. Soon after he was enlisted "Winston" was assigned to a special regiment, the name of which he still does not know to this day. Upon seeing the attack on the United States on September 11, he took some to time to travel to Manhattan in order to take photographs of the events. He spent two days in the States and then returned home to the United Kingdom. Around two years pass since the events of the attack and new orders arrive to the unit he was attached to. These orders stated that they will be assisting the first stage strike against Iraq, which eventually turned into a full scale invasion. Twenty-one days pass and all hell broke loose. ''Winston'' has never seen so much death. The pictures he gathered from his days spent in Iraq would never be released to the public due to their graphic and horrific nature. Once the twenty-one days of the initial incursion passed, he gathered his belongings and got the first flight he could back to the U.K, where he soon decided to resign from the Army. Following the horrific nature of what he witnessed in Iraq, almost two and a half years since the horrific bloodshed in Iraq, ''Winston'' has now settled down with his soon to be wife Lucy. He gets by day to day carrying out various photo shoots for weddings and other civilian things.
In early April 2017, "Winston" received a request for a photo shoot between the marriage of a Russian and a Chernarussian. Due the recent conflict between the two sides, this would make a great opportunity to add a set of photos to his collection, "The coming together of two nations". During the midst of April he said goodbye to his love Lucy and boarded an uncomfortable flight to Chernarus. He spent a few days taking astonishing photos of the beautiful Chernarussian scenery, but stayed clear of most of the active military forces. By late April the wedding was finally here, though as the wedding took place there was an unexpected attack. Scrambling around "Winston" did his best to capture images of the events but it was a mass panic. The situation was finally calmed down when the CDF arrived and controlled the masses. After the wedding, tensions increased within the country and "Winston" thought it would be best to stay and capture the aftermath, as there were huge protests following the wedding which he saw as more opportunities. While photographing the events, "Winston" tagged along with a group of CDF combatants while they tried their best to restore order to the country.
After the protests came to an end and the CDF and gained control of the situation in the area, ''Winston'' stayed with the CDF regiment as they had constructed checkpoints around a fortified base. Though, "Winston" was never actually allowed inside, and he could never reveal the location of their large CDF presence in Kamensk and Nagornoe. For "Winston's" safety and the paramount secrecy regarding this, he could not photograph any of the checkpoints, or even be present during certain times. On the 10th of July in the early hours of the morning, "Winston" was sat up against a tree eating red apples that had already fallen on the ground around him. Amidst the serenity, there was a huge chaotic explosion in the compound that "Winston" had been restricted from entering. Later that day "Winston" was given word that a full scale war could be under way at any moment, in fear he had no choice but to stick with the CDF until they could get him to the airport where he could hopefully leave the region.
While attached to the unit of CDF soldiers, they came across several soldiers that appeared to be rabid and unresponsive to any attempts of communication. In panic, the CDF retreated from the area and so did "Winston" alongside them. As they were moving across the country he could hear loud bangs in the distance and the CDF troops later told him that the Russian military was bombarding the area for an unknown reason. On the 11th, the CDF were ordered to assist the city of Severograd as they had been overwhelmed by people that were only described by others over the radio as Zombies. After a radio silence was issued out to the region of Severograd, there were new orders to move to Chernogorsk. On July 17th, the CDF were reinforced by U.S forces in Chernogorsk. A few days go by and on the 19th, the infected began to overwhelm the people within Chernogorsk. People began to panic and looters began to pillage the city. As this is all taking place, a plane falls out of the sky and crashes into one of the buildings within the city in full view of "Winston.". He helped where he could, but he finally decided it was time to get himself to safety. He gathers himself enough food to last for a few weeks and barricades himself inside a plain flat building. After he thought he could finally relax, what could only have been a small bomb goes off and part of the roof collapses in, knocking him unconscious.
"Winston" awoke to complete silence in the air. The infected were now everywhere, but he managed to sneak out of the city by avoiding the main roads and courtyards. "Winston" managed to flee into the forest still holding his camera hoping that one day the pictures of what truly happened there can be shared, if there was anyone left to share them with that is.
