Demir Tekin was born in Amarillo Texas to two families of Armenian immigrants and lived a mostly quiet life. After graduating from college paid for by his military service, he got a small office job in Austin, and spent most of his weekends outdoors, hiking, mountain climbing, and biking. in April of 2017 he opted to take time away from work to take a backpacking trip along the Green sea. Originally opting to start in his homeland of turkey and wrap around from Georgia into Russia and then into Chernarus before flying home, he decided to do the trip in reverse such that he wouldn't be finishing in the harsh winter climate of Chernarus, and instead in the much more moderate Turkey. Arriving in May, he started his trek in Novigrad, however became stuck as he arrived near VIshnoye, trapped by the quarantine and infection. Using his outdoor skills and former military training he has managed to survive thus far, mostly sticking to the marked hiking trails at first, but eventually becoming confident enough in his navigation skills in the region to survive in the wilderness and watching the on goings from afar.
