Background

Conner was born in Texas, his dad was a rancher so Conner was used to being a bit dirty, but he wasn't violent. He knew how to use a gun, he could lift and carry weight. He didn't want to be a rancher like his father though and decided to go into the medical field to help people, he had seen his fair share of helping animals anyways.

Before the outbreak Conner was an EMT, however he was starting to study nursing and was studying abroad in Russia at the time. Him and his fellow nursing students would go to lands around Russia, Chernarus was their next location. With Chernarus having a sizable mining operation it gave them a great opportunity to study coal workers' pneumoconiosis or black lung, putting him in small mining towns located in Chernarus. After awhile of being in these towns him and other nursing students where getting suspicious, the military was taking the doctors that where teaching them and helping the miners. Then a less experienced doctor would take their place then so on and so on. Him and his other classmates where getting suspicious as well, whenever they asked they where told to mind their business. Eventually the doctors where all but gone, and the military was soon grabbing him and his classmates to go to the bigger cities to help.

When Conner arrived he was horrified to see the repulsive conditions people where in, there was too many people for the hospitals, but he did what he could to help. The next day the doctor called on the walkies to tell his students to leave, that something wasn't right and it was nearing epidemic and other doctors where getting sick. Conner went out to the streets and saw a man moaning in what seemed to be pain, the man turned and growled running at Conner; Conner didn't hesitate and ran for help with the man still chasing him Conner found an officer. The officer tried to help but the man was to strong and tackled the officer to the ground and beat him, Conner wanted to help but was scared and ran into an alley to hid. He hid for hours hearing chaos and screaming. Conner decided to run for help and found some people who where in a car, one of the three people was hurt and promised to give Conner a ride if he helped their friend. While driving to a refugee camp Conner patched up his new "friends", Conner worried if this is how things would be everywhere if everything was going to be quarantined, would he ever see his parents, his boyfriend, his animals again, if they where even okay. Once Conner arrived to the refugee camps he helped where he could, staying away from anyone infected, but helping those attacked by thieves and thugs.

Ships came and picked people up Conner wanted to go he wanted to see his family his lover again, but he knew he had to stay behind and help those who couldn't help themselves. Conner decided he'd wander, I mean it's what he basically did as an EMT anyways; going from house to house to pick people up and save them, but now he's going from town to town to see who needs help. Military, bandits, loners, he'd try to help them even if they where bad. He had the experience now, what better way to study than first hand? He always learned better that way, anyways. He just wished studying abroad wasn't going to put his life at stake, but that's what nurses do save people no matter the cost.
